Terms of service

Written to be read. Where a clause protects us, it says so plainly rather than hiding behind length.

Last updated 8 August 2026

A note on this document. These terms are written to describe how we actually operate, in plain language, and have not been through a qualified lawyer. If you need contract terms your legal team can sign, email us and we will work from yours.

The short version

  • Your code and your projects are yours. We claim nothing.
  • Do not use it to build something harmful or illegal.
  • It is under active development. Features are added, and some will change.
  • Cancel at any time, take your code with you, no exit fee.
  • We limit our liability, because every software company does and we would rather say it in one line than three pages.

This agreement

By using Graphlit you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are allowed to bind that company. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Accounts

  • You need an accurate email address, and you are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Keep your credentials secure and tell us promptly if they are compromised.
  • You must be at least 16 years old.
  • One human per account; team plans exist for sharing, and account sharing is not a substitute for seats.

Who owns what

Yours

You keep all rights to everything you bring or create: your sketches, your architecture graphs, your source code, and the applications built from them. You grant us only the limited licence needed to host, process and display that content in order to run the service for you. That licence ends when you delete the content.

Ours

We keep all rights to Graphlit itself — the software, the interface, the analysis engines, the rule packs and the brand. Using the product does not transfer any of that to you, and you may not copy, resell or reverse engineer it except where the law says you may regardless.

Feedback

If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may act on them freely and without obligation. We will not claim you had no part in it — we simply cannot run a product where every suggestion creates a liability.

Acceptable use

Do not use Graphlit to:

  • Break the law, or help anyone else do so.
  • Build malware, phishing infrastructure, or tools whose purpose is unauthorised access.
  • Import or analyse code you have no right to access.
  • Attack the service — abuse, overload, circumvent limits, or probe for vulnerabilities outside the disclosure process on our security page.
  • Resell the service, or use it to train a competing model or product.
  • Upload personal data you have no lawful basis to process.

We may suspend an account that does these things. Where the situation allows it, we will contact you first.

Generated code, and its limits

This section matters more than the rest, so it is stated directly.

  • You own the output and are responsible for it once it is in your repository.
  • Review it before it reaches production. Generated code can be wrong in ways automated checks do not catch — the verification layer bounds the damage, it does not eliminate the possibility.
  • What we do guarantee is containment: a failing task is reverted, changes are scoped to the files their task owns, and every change is attributable to a task and a commit.
  • What we do not guarantee is that a generated feature does what you intended, that it is secure, or that it is free of third-party rights. Those remain your responsibility, as they would with any code you accept into your project.
  • Analysis output is advisory. Health findings, security risks and contract violations are signals to investigate. A clean report is not a certification, and we do not present it as one.

The service

Graphlit is in production and generally available. Paid plans are live — the Free plan needs no card, and Pro and Team are charged as set out under Billing below. The product is under active development, so features are added and occasionally change; anything we remove or change materially is announced first, and your data is backed up off-machine nightly. Your code and your graph are exportable at any time, in formats we do not own.

Billing

  • Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, and renew automatically until cancelled.
  • Cancel at any time, from inside the product; access continues to the end of the period you paid for.
  • Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice, and never mid-term.
  • Fees exclude taxes, which are added where applicable.
  • We do not issue refunds for time already paid for, and a mid-period cancellation is not pro-rated. Billing errors, unauthorised charges and rights the law gives you are the exceptions — all three are set out in the refund and cancellation policy, which is part of these terms.

Availability

We work to keep the service available and will give notice of planned maintenance where we can. We do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee outside Enterprise agreements. Interruptions caused by third-party providers, including model providers, are outside our control.

Termination

You can close your account at any time from within the product. We may suspend or close an account for a material breach of these terms, non-payment, or where we are legally required to. On termination you can export your data for 30 days, after which it is deleted.

Warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any analysis is complete.

Liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not remove protections you have under the law of your own country.

If any clause is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. We may update these terms; material changes come with at least 30 days' notice by email.
