Refund and cancellation policy
Cancel yourself, in two clicks, and keep what you already paid for. We do not issue refunds — here is exactly what that does and does not mean.
Last updated 8 August 2026
This policy is in force. Paid plans are live, so everything below applies to a charge on your card today — not to something planned. If you think you have been billed in error, the fastest route is the contact form; you will not be asked to argue with anyone.
The short version
- You can cancel at any time, from inside the product, without emailing anyone.
- Cancelling stops the next charge. It does not end the period you already paid for — you keep the plan until that period runs out.
- We do not issue refunds for time already paid for, whether the plan is monthly or annual, and whether or not you used it.
- There is a free tier and it is not a trial. Evaluate on it for as long as you like before paying anything.
- Your code and your graphs are exportable at any time, including after you cancel.
Cancelling
Cancellation is self-service: it is a button in the billing settings of your workspace, it takes effect immediately, and it needs no approval from us. We do not run a retention flow, we do not ask you to book a call, and we do not put the button somewhere you have to hunt for it.
What cancelling does is stop the next charge. Access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, and on the day it ends your workspace drops to the free tier rather than locking. Nothing is deleted at that moment — see below.
If you cancel a card mandate at your bank instead of in the product, the subscription still needs cancelling here, otherwise it stays open and simply fails to charge.
Refunds
We do not issue refunds. Fees already paid — for a month, for a year, or for a period you did not end up using — are not returned, and a mid-period cancellation is not pro-rated.
That is a firm line, and the only reason it is a fair one is what sits around it:
- The free tier is the trial. The parts of Graphlit that decide whether it works for you — importing your repo, getting the graph, running a drift check — do not require a card. If it does not do what you need, you find that out before paying rather than after.
- Nothing renews silently. Renewals are announced by email before they are charged, and the cancel button is one click from that email.
- Cancelling is not a punishment. You keep the plan for the period you bought, so cancelling on day two of a month costs you nothing you would not have already spent.
- Downgrading is always available and does not need a support conversation.
We would rather run a policy we can apply identically to everybody than one where the answer depends on how persuasive the email was.
The exceptions
Three, and they are narrow. We will return money where:
- You were charged in error — a duplicate charge, a charge after a confirmed cancellation, or a charge on a plan you never selected. Tell us and we reverse it; this is a mistake being corrected, not a refund.
- The charge was not authorised by you. Report it and we will reverse it and close the subscription while it is investigated.
- The law where you live requires it. Consumer protection statutes and mandatory cancellation rights override this page wherever they apply, and nothing here is an attempt to contract out of them.
Outside those, an outage, a bug, or a feature that did not work the way you hoped is handled by fixing it or by crediting the affected period against the next one — not by a refund.
Renewals and price changes
- Plans are billed in advance and renew automatically — monthly plans monthly, annual plans annually — until cancelled.
- We email before a renewal is charged, at the address on the account.
- Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice, never mid-term, and never on a period you have already paid for.
- Prices exclude taxes, which are added where they apply.
- Upgrading takes effect immediately and is charged pro-rata; downgrading takes effect at the end of the current period, so no paid time is lost.
Your data after cancelling
Cancelling is not deleting. Your projects, graphs and history stay in place on the free tier, subject to its limits, and the export function keeps working — you can take your graphs and your code with you at any point, before or after.
If you want the account itself removed, that is a separate action with its own button, and it is described in the privacy policy.
